They invented something pretty nice, it's called a Previous button and it's in pretty much every one's browser. Works magic.
Usually I'd "meet" with Kaxon and get stuff fixed out, but as you can see, he's gone for a few days, which means I can do whatever I want...
I don't care if your dog/cat/annoying little sister did it, it's not something that can be done under any circumstance. It wasn't an accident, it wasn't a mistake, it was flat-out cheating, from the leader no less.

You're out

Enjoy it while it lasts, because soon enough both you and your predictions will be removed entirely from the database. I'd do it myself but last time I deleted something I crashed the database... so it'll have to wait for Kaxon. We don't have time to look around if everyone's doing everything exactly by the rules, we base it on something called trust. And guess what, you lost all of it in one sitting, for 4 ridiculous points.

that is harsh...... i was going to scream, "make an example out of her!!! give her a 15 point penalty!!!" but hey, it's KM and/or Kaxon's call. although, i will admit that i was really ******* ticked when i first noticed that prediction was deleted. especially considering that over half of the Top 10 is going to lose points on this match due to last minute changes - that wasn't cool, pikaness.

:( Hrm...I say simply DQing that one pick should be fair enough, but it's your judgment.

Fool me once, shame on you
Fool me twice,...

I don't feel like it's worth taking the risk, seriously. And yes I know it's pretty harsh, but I think we've always been really nice with people slipping, forgetting the % signs, etc.... I don't think it'd be fair for all other 155 people if I'd let her go with like a 40-points penalty. Yes I'm making an example out of her, because when someone cheats like that it's laughing in our faces, solar, Kaxon and I who have run this contest for 3 years now.

Won't pikaness drop like 80 spots if just that one pick is disqualified? Seems fair to me, but rules are rules, I guess.
You still think she deserves to be above whoever would be in 81st? 'Cause I sure don't...

I won't delete anything until Kaxon's back, so it'll wait for a few days and we'll need to talk about it anyway, we'll see how this goes...

Well, I know it's really harsh, but I have to agree with KM on the banning. Him and Kaxon already do so much work running the whole thing with so many people, they really shouldn't have to be worrying about cheating on top of that. I respect him for taking action against it, but it still is really sad to see our leader gone for so little...

Bleh, I think it should just be a penalty or a removal from this contest but still keep her stuff there and let her join next season. It was a mistake, she admitted it herself, and she showed her correct %. It wasn't deliberate, although she had to have known it was underhanded. Still, completely deleting the stuff seems a bit extreme, but I can understand it.

Match #12 Results
Aeris Gainsborough 69.78%
Marle 30.22%

Let's get back to business shall we? Marle rides on an awesome pic to score over 30% on Aeris. Surprising? We sure were. All 149 predictions were for Aeris but the consensus was high at 74.78%, leading us to an average of 44.23 points.

Best Five Picks:
1) Rufus Shinra 18 - Aeris Gainsborough 69.69% (+49.91)
2) AlecTrevelyan006 - Aeris Gainsborough 70.00% (+49.78)
2) AmazingKirby - Aeris Gainsborough 70.00% (+49.78)
4) and now I dance - Aeris Gainsborough 69.50% (+49.72)
5) Redtooth - Aeris Gainsborough 69.44% (+49.66)

A few people were wise enough to go low yesterday and they now reap the rewards. Rufus Shinra 18 makes his first appearance his season with his 6th win and 21st Top 5. AlecTrevelyan takes 2nd place and his 2nd All-Time Top 5, tied with AmazingKirby who nails his first Top 5 on his 12th prediction. and now I dance grabs his 10th Top 5 in 4th while Redtooth completes the board with his 4th Top 5, his 2nd thsi contest.

Complete Match Ranking:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SC2k6&type=match&match=12

Current Leaderboard:
1) DSRage - 564.69
2) ad00 - 558.32
3) Draco1214 - 552.81
4) Ness26 - 552.20
5) Ngamer64 - 551.91

Don't mind the site, this is what the leaderboard is now, technically. DSRage finally takes the lead on his 7th day on the leaderboard, keeping ad00 (who has been there since Day 2) a small distance behind. Draco1214 also moves up one spot to take 3rd, barely keeping Ness26 at bay. Veteran Ngamer gets back on the board with another solid prediction.

Full Standings:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SC2k6&type=total&match=12

Top Team Scores:
1) Team Rage of Warcraft - 98.47 (War13104: +49.22 / DSRage: +49.25)
2) Team Accident - 96.36 (MegatokyoEd: +46.45 / Rufus Shinra 18: +49.91)
3) Team Illusion of Xenosaga - 95.29 (stingers135: +48.45 / X_Dante_X: +46.84)
4) Team Go Go Gadget Copter! - 95.22 (Ness26: +45.56 / Redtooth: +49.66)
5) Team Battle with Gilgamesh > JENOVA - 95.08 (Janus5000: +46.80 / KleenexTissue50: +48.28)

Wow, these guys are on fire. Team Rage of Warcraft take their second Best Team Pick in a row, leaving everyone in the dust. Team Accident, despite their great overall showing make their first appearance here in 2nd, followed by Team Illusion of Xenosaga with their 3rd Top 5. Team Go GO Gadget Copter! take 4th place and their 2nd Top 5 while Team Battle with Gilgamesh > JENOVA complete the board, their 3rd Top 5 of the contest.

Complete Team Match Ranking:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SC2k6&type=teammatch&match=12

Team Leaderboard:
1) Team Rage of Warcraft (War13104 / DSRage) - 1099.86
2) Team The Spirit of Truth (Draco1214 / Rodri316) - 1097.48
3) Team Accident (MegatokyoEd / Rufus Shinra 18) - 1094.65
4) Team Unfinished FFP (Ed Bellis / Karma Hunter) - 1093.20
5) Team Predestined Divination (creativename / Ngamer64) - 1088.34

Shocking! After 6 straight days on top, The Spirit of Truth looked pretty invincible, but with two bad predictions yesterday, gone is their 15-point lead! War13104 and DSRage are on fire lately and they lead Team Rage of Warcraft to the top of the standings, pushing previous leaders down to 2nd. Team Accident take advantage of great predictions yesterday to move up two spots in 3rd, right in front of Team Unfinished FFP. Team Predestined Divination move back on the leaderboard, barely taking 5th place.
